'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The veteran forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the initial important achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously consider extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
